Fidel Socin

Fidel Socin is a harmonica and harmonium manufacturer that Fedele (Fidel) Socin , who came from Sarnonico in Nonsberg , founded in 1871 in Bozen in Fleischgasse, today's Museumstrasse. The factory named after the founder of the company not only manufactured instruments, but also carried out repairs. A new production facility was built in 1899 on Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Strasse, today's Sparkassenstrasse. In 1902 Fidel Socin's son Rüdiger (Ruggero) joined the company as a partner and ran the company after his father's death in 1917. Fidel Socin harmonicas were sold in Europe and exported to Russia, Australia, North Africa and the United States.

In the 1930s, Bruno Socin, Ruggero's only son, took over management of the company. He ran the company until his death in October 1960.
