Géraldine Keller

Géraldine Keller (born December 7, 1966 in Strasbourg ) is a French singer (soprano) who works in both the fields of old and new music and as an improvisation musician .

Act

Keller initially earned a master's degree in fine arts and studied singing at the Conservatoire National de Region de Strasbourg, focusing on jazz and the contemporary vocal repertoire; she also studied contemporary dance and theater. She interpreted works by Giacinto Scelsi , Georges Aperghis , John Cage , Luca Francesconi , Luciano Berio , Karl-Heinz Stockhausen and György Kurtág and worked with François Rossé , Gualtiero Dazzi , Christophe Havel , Hans-Joachim Hespos , Thierry Alla and José Luis Campana . In addition, she went on free sound research with Jean-Pierre Drouet and Tristan Honsinger . Since 1992 she has participated in numerous music, dance and theater productions across Europe. She was a member of the improvisation group Da-Go-Bert , which existed from 1996 to 2006, and belongs to the ensemble] h [iatus around the cellist Martine Altenburger and the percussionist Lê Quan Ninh . She performed the composition Aura Christinae by Norbert Rodenkirchen and Harald Kimmig several times in the Rhineland together with the singer Maria Jonas . In the field of jazz she works in the groups of Claude Tchamitchian .
