José Luis Campana

José Luis Campana (* 1949 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine composer.

Campana studied psychology at the University of Buenos Aires until 1974 and music with Jacobo Ficher from 1968 to 1975 . In 1979 he moved to France, where he was a student of Betsy Jolas and Ivo Malec . From 1989 to 1992 he taught music analysis at the Conservatoire de Paris . In 1992 he was one of the founders of the Atelier de Recherche, Création et Enseignement de la Musique Actuelle (ARCEMA) of the Université d'Orsay and became artistic director of the Ensemble Arcema .
