Ayler Records

Ayler Records is a Swedish jazz - independent label .

Ayler Records was founded in 2000 by Jan Ström; the live recordings that have since appeared on the label range in the stylistic spectrum between free jazz and improvised music . The albums appear in the form of digipacks with a special cover design. The 2003 catalog included sixteen recordings by musicians such as Noah Howard , Peter Brötzmann , John Stevens , William Parker , Hamid Drake and Assif Tsahar , Sunny Murray , Scandinavian musicians such as Per Henrik Wallin and, with the namesake, Albert Ayler . Furthermore, recordings by Jimmy Lyons , Jemeel Moondoc , Henry Grimes and Mongezi Feza (with Okay Temiz and the quartet by Bernt Rosengren ) were added. From 2007, the majority of the new publications appeared only in the form of downloads.
