Financial tombstone

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Financial Tombstone (Engl. Financial grave stone ) is a common in the financial sector award for successful IPOs (IPO) or other financial transactions, often in the form of a cube or a figure of glass or Plexiglas . The brokers and underwriters involved in the IPO or transaction are honored .

Origins

The reasons for the habit of expressing recognition for work performed in the form of a tombstone lie in the regulatory provisions of the Securities and Exchange Commission , which require a purely textual announcement of the process and prohibit other forms in order to prevent advertising for the individual security . Such displays are called “tombstone” in English because of the resemblance to a gravestone inscription.
