Finnpappe (actually Finnish machine wood paperboard ) is a cardboard-like material that is used primarily in model construction and as an aid in a wide variety of creative tasks.

It can be processed very well with a cutter (in conjunction with a metal ruler) and is available in various thicknesses and formats; the surface (s) are usually not pure white, but slightly beige, often there is a smooth and a coarser side. On the market they are usually offered in large formats of approx. 70 × 100 cm (27.5 × 39.4 ″) and thicknesses of 1 mm (850 g / m²) to 3 mm (1500 g / m²).
