Fitz Faller Fountain before dismantling in the palace gardens

The Fitz Faller Fountain was a fountain set up in the Middle Palace Garden in Stuttgart-Mitte .

The fountain was designed by the sculptor Hanspeter Fitz and the architect Faller and set up as part of the Federal Garden Show in 1961 . In three pools the water flowed down over seven tables of different heights. The location was between the Ferdinand-Leitner-Steg and the planetarium .

The fountain was dismantled in 2012 because of the construction work on Stuttgart 21 . Since the fountain system is a listed building as part of the palace gardens, it was stored and is to be set up again at another location in the future.
