Refugee aid Liechtenstein

The Liechtenstein Refugee Aid ( FHL ) is a non-profit association based in Liechtenstein , which is politically and denominationally independent for refugees . According to the Asylum Ordinance of Liechtenstein, the association is a central authority for refugee aid, which is responsible nationwide for certain aspects of the asylum procedure.

Refugee Aid Liechtenstein describes its goals in the following words:

“The Liechtenstein Refugee Aid (FHL) is a non-profit organization and stands for the protection of refugees and those in need of protection, for respect , openness and tolerance towards people who request admission in Liechtenstein.
Refugee Aid is committed to the realization of basic and human rights and compliance with the Geneva Refugee Convention .
With our commitment we want to make a contribution to strengthening solidarity with all people in the world who have been affected by flight , torture , displacement , hardship and xenophobia . "

tasks

Refugee Aid Liechtenstein looks after and informs asylum seekers and also supports them vis-à-vis the authorities and the public. Among other things, she supports them with emigration, return and reintegration as well as with setting up their own household in Liechtenstein. It also supports refugee projects at home and abroad.

In particular, the FHL is responsible for the accommodation and care of asylum seekers in the reception center in Vaduz and in other accommodations made available by the state.

The Asylum Ordinance (AsylV) of 29 May 2012 prescribes certain tasks for Liechtenstein refugee aid. Thus, unaccompanied minor asylum seekers over 16 years cared for by the FHL, the Office of Social Services without an objection rises (§ 9 AsylV). The refugee organizations that are part of it are recognized aid organizations in accordance with Section 19 (1) AsylG (Section 11 AsylV). In the case of immersion of a refugee, the FHL after giving the Immigration and Passport Office immediately release (§ 20 AsylV).

The FHL has the duty to inform asylum seekers and temporarily admitted persons in cooperation with the immigration and passport office about possibilities of integration (§ 24 AsylV) and is involved in the payment of welfare benefits according to § 54 Abs. 2 AsylG (§ 30 AsylV), assuming the cost of dental treatment (Section 31 AsylV) and assuming the cost of entry and exit (Section 35 AsylV).
