Vexillological symbol : National flag on land and at sea?
Aspect ratio: 2: 3
Officially accepted: March 8, 1945

The flag of the Arab League consists of a green background on which the seal of the Arab League is depicted. The 22 chain links represent the 22 members of the league at the time the flag was adopted. The writing reflects the Arabic name of the organization: جامعة الدول العربية, "League of Arab States". The whole thing is surrounded by a white wreath and a ribbon at the base.

There are also other flags of the Arab League, which are usually used at the summit meetings. A variant of the flag with a white background is used for the president during the summit. On older flags of the Arab League from the 1950s to 1970s, the chain links are shown in red or black, the Arabic script in black or gold, with green or white crescent moon .
