The flags of the German Red Cross (1936-1945) were the flags and stander used by the German Red Cross (DRK) during the Nazi era .

Flags and pennants of the DRK readiness

The various DRK readiness groups each used their own flags and pennants, which were probably introduced gradually from 1936 onwards. The male departments carried white, rectangular flags, on which a stylized imperial eagle was depicted, which sat with its fangs on a red cross , the international symbol of the aid organization. On the eagle's chest was a white pointed swastika . In the upper left corner of the flag, the name of the department was written on a gray background in black Gothic letters. The top of the flag probably consisted of a silver-colored representation of the DRK badge. The flag was attached to the black painted flagpole with a total of seven metal rings.

The female departments of the DRK readiness were assigned a pennant instead of a flag.

Motor vehicle flags

On December 9, 1937, new DRK uniforms were set, in the course of which motor vehicle flags were introduced. As a rule, they were white metal signs with a gray border or additional crosses showing the DRK symbol. Depending on the position , the stands were square, rectangular or pennant-shaped. In addition to the seven different service posts, there was also a general car, motorcycle and bicycle pennant . Instead of the gray double border, this had a narrow, gray and white braided border, which, however, was not attached to the vertical side.
