The Flash Design Tower , also called Toren van Braem , is a skyscraper in the Belgian city of Boom .

history

The building, which was completed in 1972, is 82 meters high and is spread over 22 floors. It is thus the tallest building in the city and one of the tallest buildings in the country . The building is mainly used as a residential and hotel tower. The Flash Lounge restaurant is located on the 18th floor of the building .

The Flash Design Tower was designed by the architect Renaat Braem and is one of the most popular buildings in the city. The building is now a listed building. In 2010 a major renovation was carried out on the building. The number of apartments per floor was reduced from four to two and the former social apartments became luxury apartments. Changes were also made to the roof of the building that were planned by architects but never implemented.
