Fluff

Flauder - the original

Flauder is a Swiss carbonated mineral water with an elderflower and lemon balm flavor .

Emergence

The drink came about more or less by chance in April 2002: In the search for new flavors, lemon balm was mistakenly added to an elderberry drink. The name Flauder comes from the word Flickflauder , the Innerrhoder dialect expression for butterfly .

Because a bottle of Appenzell Flauder was enclosed with every delivery of drinks without being asked, the drink was able to establish itself in the drinks market within a short time and without advertising and quickly became a best seller. Flauder and the other Quelle products are mainly sold in Eastern Switzerland . Buyers are beverage dealers, shops, bars, restaurants and wholesalers.

production

The drink is produced by Goba AG (formerly Mineralquelle Gontenbad) in Gontenbad in the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden in Switzerland. The mineral spring is one of the smallest independent mineral water producers in Switzerland. As the youngest member of the third generation and a career changer, Gabriela Manser took over the family business in 1999.

Further development

In the spring of 2010, two new Flauder products came onto the market: Flauder Elderberries and Flauder Quince-Rhubarb. The new Flauder versions are based on elderberry juice, fruit flavors as well as herbal and flower extracts. The herbs and flowers are planted in the Säntis area . The fluffy drinks do not contain any preservatives.
