Asociación Latinoamericana de Sociología

The Asociación Latinoamericana de Sociología (span.) Or Associação Latino-americana de Sociologia (port.) ( ALAS ) is a Latin American sociological association and was founded in 1950 during the first world congress of the International Sociological Association in Zurich . As an association, it is a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA).

In addition to the congress reports, the ALAS publishes the periodical Boletín ALAS (No. 1, 2008ff, as digital copies), the Revista ALAS and, from 2009, the Controversias y Concurrencias Latinoamericanas .
