José Eduardo Aquevedo Soto is a Chilean sociologist . His focus is on economic development , urban and work sociology .
Life
Eduardo Aquevedo Soto obtained his master's degree in sociology from the Universidad de Concepción in 1970 and received his doctorate in economics from the Université Paris VII in 1993 , Denis Diderot .
Since 1993 he has been a full professor at the Universidad de Concepción (Chile), head of the institute in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. From 1999 to 2001 he was chairman of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Sociología .
