Luis Suárez Salazar

Luis Suárez Salazar (born May 14, 1950 in Guantánamo ) is a Cuban sociologist and political scientist . He teaches at the University of Havana .

Life

Suárez initially studied at the University of Havana and graduated in 1975 with a Licenciatura in political science and later received a doctorate in sociology. From 1991 to 1993 Luis Suárez Salazar was chairman of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Sociología . Today he is honorary professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and History at the University of Havana and at the Instituto Superior de Relaciones Internacionales “Raúl Roa García” (College of International Relations) of the Cuban Foreign Ministry in Havana .
