Raquel Sosa Elízaga

Raquel Sosa Elízaga is a PhD in History and Professor at the Latin American Studies Center of the Political and Social Sciences Faculty at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She is best known for her political activities under Andrés Manuel López Obrador and her contributions to social inequality.

Life

From 1995 to 1997 she was chairwoman of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Sociología . From 2000 to 2006 she was secretary for social development in Mexico City and is still a close confidante of Andrés Manuel López Obrador .
