Flecksieder (also "Kuttler" or "Tripe cooker") was a medieval job title for a person who earned his living cleaning and processing animal intestines .

The stain-boiling processed in the Middle Ages intestines of ruminant animals by cleaning the intestines, brühten and from the stomachs tripe manufactured. Because of the "uncleanliness" of their profession, they had to settle outside the cities, like the tanners . The profession is now extinct, the activity is now carried out by butchers .
