The Fleischer Studios Incorporation or Fleischer Studios, Inc. was an American production site for animated works based in New York City .
history
They were founded Fleischer Studios in 1921 by the österreichischstämmigen brothers Max Fleischer and Dave Fleischer initially under the name Inkwell Studios before the company in 1929 to the Fleischer Studios was renamed. In 1941 the Fleischer Studios were bought by Paramount Pictures , were driven into bankruptcy in 1942 and renamed from Paramount to the Famous Studios . That was the end of the Fleischer Studios.
Well-known productions
The Fleischer Studios had many successes at their wedding. The best known are the animated series Betty Boop (in their talk cartoons ), Popeye the Sailor and the cartoon adaptation of Gulliver's Travels . In addition, Fleischer Studios produced the first cartoon adaptation of the comic hero Superman and the movie Hoppity is Coming Back (Mr. Bug Goes to Town) . For a long time, Fleischer Studios was Walt Disney's greatest competitor with their productions .
DVD publications
