The Flickschuteich is a pond in the town of Burg (near Magdeburg) in Saxony-Anhalt .
It is located in the western part of the Flickschupark , east of the old town of Burger, south of the course of the Ihle .
The pond was created as part of the Flickschupark donated by Albertine Flickschu in the period from 1912. The donor had ordered the construction of a pond to enable young people to ice-skate . The landscaping was done by the garden architect Hans Schmidt .
The pond has a length of about 180 meters in a west-east direction and a width of up to 80 meters. In the southern part of the patchwork pond there is an island near the southern bank. Original plans to build a bridge to the island were not implemented from a cost perspective.
The Flickschuteich is part of the site of the State Garden Show Burg (near Magdeburg) 2018
