Change on the fly
A flying change describes a quick change, exchange or replacement without interruptions.
The term is used in parallel in different areas:
- For the complete or almost seamless change between politics and business , specifically in an important position in a commercial enterprise (see also revolving door effect ).
- In equestrian sport, one speaks of a flying change of canter when the horse performs the change in the suspension phase of the gallop .
- In team sport, the replacement of a player without interrupting the game.
- In athletics, the handover of the baton at the relay race .
- In improvisational theater as a game in which different scenes and players are quickly separated from one another.
