Aviator cosmonaut

The term aviator cosmonaut stands for a cosmonaut who has received a corresponding honorary title from his home country.

The documentary Aviation Cosmonauts from 2009 portrays ten non-Soviet cosmonauts who took part in a space expedition as part of the Intercosm program of Soviet space travel and thus became the first space travelers in their respective home countries. They are also known as intercosmonauts.
