Tile witch; Retaining plate (A), rubber cord (B), tile (C)

A tool that consists of two small retaining plates and a rubber cord is called a tile witch (also known as tile corners or tiling corners). It serves as a guideline for maintaining the joint alignment of the wall or floor tiles to be laid .

The retaining plates are about 5 cm × 5 cm in size, are usually made of stainless steel and are connected with a rubber cord. The two retaining plates are attached to the first and last tile that has already been glued to the wall or floor . The tiles are aligned along the rubber cord stretched in between. The tile witch is therefore suitable for laying tiles in thin, medium or thick beds .
