Flock point
The flocculation point is the temperature in ° C for refrigeration machine oil at which the first paraffin flakes separate from a mixture of 9% oil and 91% refrigerant ( mass fraction ) (measurement method according to DIN 51351: testing of lubricants; determination of the flocculation point of refrigeration machine oils ) . In addition, it gives the user an indication of the temperature at which problems can arise in the evaporator or throttle device due to paraffin precipitations.
