The Floriansdorf KiEZ Frauensee is a children's fire protection center in Heidesee (Brandenburg), which, as an accident prevention center , aims to reduce the risk of burn injuries in children. The namesake of all Floriansdörfer is St. Florian , the patron saint of the fire brigade.

The construction of the Floriansdorf began in 2013; it was inaugurated on the Day of German Unity , October 3, 2014, making it the first East German Floriansdorf.

Goal setting

The facility is intended to prevent burn injuries in children. In the facility, children should learn to deal with fire carefully and to react correctly in dangerous situations and to call for help. The Floriansdorf should not only inform about dangers, but also take away the fear, which children z. B. in dealing with rescue workers. The aim is to prevent accidents, to learn how to behave in an emergency and to reduce the fear of dealing with rescue workers. As part of the fire protection education, children between the ages of 3 and 12 should be specifically addressed.

There are three stations on an area of ​​500 m²:

The guests of the Floriansdorf can spread their exploration over several days and also spend the night there, because the Floriansdorf is located in the middle of the children's and youth recreation center KiEZ directly on the Frauensee. The Floriansdorf is supported by the children's and youth fire brigade of the Dahme-Spreewald district .

The Floriansdorf was built and also managed by the KiEZ Frauensee. The KiEZ in turn is managed by a non-profit association.
