Florina ( Querina ) is a variety of apple that in France ( Angers from a) INRA -Institut by crosses scab -resistant apple varieties grown and made public 1977th The variety has the monogenic inherited scab resistance Vf from Malus floribunda . According to recent studies, Florina is resistant to all scab breeds 1 to 6. In Europe it is represented in organic farms, especially in direct sales .

According to French information, Florina is the name used for varietal purposes, whereas Querina is a registered trademark. German sources claim the opposite.

The variety is ready to be picked in October and can be kept until December / January. The taste is rather sweet, initially very juicy. Sometimes there is mold in the core .
