Flounder Iceland ( English for Flunderinsel is) an island off the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the largest of the Fish Islands on the north side of Holtedahl Bay .
It was mapped during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 based on the name of the archipelago to which it belongs.
