Flight control computer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The flight control computer (engl .: flight control computer , abbreviated as FCC ) is an interface between the pilot and floor space and is in the fly-by-wire used control.

A distinction is made between primary flight control and secondary flight control. FCCs are interconnected as quadruplex systems or as duplex systems in order to create redundant systems. In this way the high reliability of the aviation systems is achieved.

Typical tasks of the FCC are:

  • Stability control
  • Position control
  • Path control
