The Kolwezi Airport ( IATA : KWZ, ICAO : FZQM) is the airport of the city of Kolwezi , capital of the province of Lualaba in Democratic Republic of Congo .

The airfield was by the Swiss company Glencore built that spot two copper - mines has (Katanga Mining and Mutanda). It is located about 6 km south of the city of Kolwezi.
