description

The Flyssa is about 1 meter to 1.20 meters long and has a straight blade that is only slightly curved at the tip and is about 80 cm to 100 cm long. The point ( location ) is particularly noticeable on the Flyssa , because about 1/3 of the entire length of the blade falls on the point. The blade is wide at the handle and tapers to the point after about 2/3 of the blade. On the sides of the blade, near the back of the blade, the Flyssa is often decorated with engravings or with gold tau . The handle has no guard and is made of wood, horn or metal. The handle (handle) is carved into a stylized horse's head at the end, the wooden scabbards are decorated with traditional carvings. The fastening eyes are carved into the wood of the scabbard.
