Foguang Temple (Mangshi)
The Foguang Temple ( Chinese 佛光 寺 , Pinyin Foguang si , English Foguang Temple ) is a Buddhist temple of the Zuodi school ( 左 底 派 , Zuodi pai , English Zuodi Sect ) of southern (or Theravāda - or Pali -) Buddhism ( Chinese: Shangzuobu Fojiao or Nanchuan Fojiao ) in the Chinese province of Yunnan . It is located in the large village Mangshi the independent city Mang of Autonomous Prefecture Dehong of Dai and Jingpo in western Yunnan. It was built in the 16th year of the Guangxu era (1836) of the Qing Dynasty and renovated in 1983.
