The Fondation Stamm is an independent aid organization in the East African Republic of Burundi and was founded in August 1999 by Verena Stamm from Wiesbaden .

Verena Stamm has lived in Burundi with her Burundian husband since September 1972 and is a trained nurse. The foundation began with the care of women and children in the refugee camps. Today ten projects are supervised across the country, including a. Accommodation for street children, former child soldiers, AIDS and war orphans, rape victims, outcasts and refugees. To date, more than 500 children have been given school and vocational training.

In our own training centers, professional staff teaches children and young people in carpentry, welding and tailoring work, bicycle workshops, and trains them to become cooks, hairdressers or in agriculture and cattle breeding. In addition to our own projects, some schools and projects are supported with funds and food deliveries, such as the school feeding program in the northeastern province of Muyinga .

The financing works exclusively through private donations and the support of other aid organizations. In addition, the Fondation generates some of its own money from the sale of goods that were manufactured in the projects themselves.
