Fonduk
Fonduk was the name for a Turkish gold coin from the 18th century and meant full coin . There was also the half and quarter coin - called Funduk and Fundukli. A Funduk corresponded roughly to a Venetian Zechine .
1 fonduk (gold) = 5 G (u) rusch or Kuruş or piaster (silver)
1 G (u) rusch = 40 Para (silver, later billon / copper)
1 Asper = 4 Menkie, also Gieduki
A Maria Theresa thaler around 1780 was equivalent to about 102 Para or 1/2 fonduk. Only the Fonduk- and Gurusch coins were Kurantmünzen , from Para all fractional coins .
