Fontana Finthen (officially: Association for physical exercises Fontana Finthen eV ) is a football club from the Mainz district of Finthen in the Römerquelle district. The club consists of a first team, an "old men" department, a youth department and an affiliated leisure department called "Samba Kicker".
history
Fontana Finthen was founded on January 21, 1928 as a pure football club. In 1952 the club was one of the founding members of the then third-class Southwest Amateur League and belonged to this league until 1954. In the 2007/08 season they were promoted to the Association League Southwest and the club surprisingly finished the season in sixth place. From 2012 to 2015 you play in the Landesliga Ost.
The association was awarded the 2011 DFB Integration Prize in February 2012 .
