history
The recordings took place in the winter of 1987 and the release was on April 11, 1988. The pop song made Gibson the youngest woman at the age of 17 to write, produce and sing a song alone, which made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 managed.
Gibson recorded a new version of the song as a bonus track for the Ms. Vocalist album .
Music video
In the music video, Debbie Gibson separates from her boyfriend, regrets this step, wants to make amends and cuts off her efforts. The clip ends with her ex-boyfriend being given a bouquet of flowers (which is from her), throws the bouquet in the trash and disappears.
