CatCat is a Finnish sibling duo, consisting of Katja and Virpi Kätkä (* 1972). This name is called Kätkät in the plural and is pronounced the same as CatCat . The siblings represented Finland at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin , Ireland , with the song Bye Bye Baby . Although the entry was highly bet and critics attested that Finland could finally land Finland on a good place with this song, Bye Bye Baby only received 11 points in the contest: one point from Bosnia and Herzegovina and ten points from Greece . The song reached the 22nd place.

CatCat released their first single Toimii , a cover of Be My Baby by the Ronettes , in 1991 . Her first album followed in 1992. CatCat has appeared on Finnish television many times since it appeared in Eurovision. With Bye Bye Baby (1994) and Enkeli (1995) two successful albums and other singles were released. In Bye Bye Baby , among other Finnish covers of are George Michael's Careless Whisper, Debbie Gibson Foolish Beat and Modern Talking Do You Wanna hear.

The duo then paused and only continued their early successes in 2001 with the single and the album Yö ja päivä . Several compilations followed and in 2015 another studio album with Kukat Kauniit .

The duo still exists today. For example, it had a guest appearance at a celebration for Finland's 40th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, where they sang their song Bye Bye Baby .

Virpi Kätkä was married to Tauno Peltonen , but is now divorced.
