Fredi (actually: Matti Kalevi Siitonen ; born July 23, 1942 in Mikkeli ) is a Finnish pop singer . With many chart-listed singles and number one LPs, especially in the 1970s, he is one of the most successful Finnish musicians.

Live and act

Fredi gained national fame with his vocal performances in the well-known music show Kivikasvot from the mid-1960s. He was part of the regular cast of the humorous hit and folklore show. Fredi represented Finland twice at the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson . In the 1967 competition he reached twelfth place with the hit Varjoon-suojaan and eleventh place in the 1976 competition with Pump Pump . At Pump Pump he was accompanied by the Ystävät group, who simply called themselves “Friends” in the international competition. The title was also published in Germany as " Schon wieder macht mein Herz Bump Bump" .
