Soft Engine is a Finnish indie rock - band .

Career

The members of Softengine come from the western Finnish city of Seinäjoki and founded the band in 2011. Together with eight other artists they took part in the Finnish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 called UMK and were able to reach the final on February 1, 2014 with 38 points for decide.

On May 8, 2014, they qualified for the ESC final in the second semifinals and represented Finland at the 59th Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark with the song Something Better . They reached eleventh place with 72 points.

Her debut album We Created the World was released on October 17, 2014 and made it into the Finnish top 10. At the same time, founding member Eero Keskinen left the band in order to concentrate on his training as a lighting technician.

On June 17, 2015, the band presented All About You & I, their first single far away from their debut album. In April 2016 the title Salamatie by the Finnish teen pop singer Robin was published , on which Softengine was a guest artist.
