Pihasoittajat

Pihasoittajat is a Finnish folk band that was formed in 1969.

As the winner of the Finnish preliminary round, the group was allowed to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 for their country. They reached seventh place with the folk song Old Man Fiddle .

In 1995 the band reformed after a 20-year hiatus, but ended their activity in 2000 due to the death of singer Hannu Karlsson.

From 2009 onwards, the group made a few appearances again.

The members are / were: Arja Karlsson (vocals), Henrik Bergendahl (vocals), Hannu Karlsson † (vocals), Seppo Sillanpää (violin), Kim Kuusi (guitar), Harry Lindahl (mandolin).
