The battle of Kratzau took place on November 11th (according to other information November 16th) 1428 between a Silesian - Upper Lusatian army and Hussites near Kratzau in Bohemia .

During the battle, the Silesian-Upper Lusatian army under Hans von Polenz overwhelmed the Hussite troops and castles .

In November 1428, the Hussites, led by Nikolaus von Kaisberg , started a campaign from occupied Kratzau via Friedland and Ostritz to Löbau . The city could not be taken by the Hussites, and so they withdrew to Kratzau again. Silesian and Upper Lusatian troops pursued the Hussites and wiped them out near Kratzau.
