Kari Kuivalainen

Kari Kuivalainen (born November 14, 1960 ) is a Finnish singer and composer .

At a young age he was active as a drummer in various bands. He was seen for the first time in the Finnish pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985: as the composer of the title Haaveissa voinko oot mun? for the singer Riki Sorsa , who took second place. The next year he competed himself. With his self-written pop ballad Päivä kahden himisen he was the winner of the preselection and was allowed to compete in the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen . The title was given an English name: Never the End . In the final evaluation, the ballad reached 15th place.

Kuivalainen later became active as a drummer in the Finnish pop band Menneisyyden Vangi .
