Pernilla Karlsson

Pernilla Karlsson (born June 11, 1990 in Siuntio ) is a Finnish singer . She belongs to the group of Finland Swedes .

The previously completely unknown singer, who is a teacher by profession and only pursued singing as a hobby, was chosen by televoting as the winner of the Finnish preliminary decision Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu . She was therefore allowed to perform with the Swedish-language waltz När jag blundar at the semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku . However, she could not qualify for the final. The title was composed and written by her brother Jonas Karlsson , who runs his own recording studio in Helsinki .
