Waldo's People is a Eurodance group from Finland with the band leader Waldo (actually Marko Reijonen), who produced several solo singles in the mid-1990s. The group has existed since 1998 and released two albums in 1998 and 2000. It wasn't until eight years later that the group returned with a greatest hits album.

The band took part in the Finnish qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 and won it in the final on January 31, 2009 with 45.1% of the votes. She therefore represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow with the song Lose Control . There were allegations of plagiarism in advance because the melody of Lose Control has similarities with the refrain of the 1984 hit Wouldn't It Be Good by Nik Kershaw . In the first semifinals, Waldo's People only placed 12th, but the tenth qualifying place is determined by a jury and their highest-rated country, which is not among the first nine places in the televote vote, receives the tenth place in the final secure their progress. In the ESC finals, Waldo's People took 25th and last place in the victory of Norwegian Alexander Rybak .
