Viktor Klimenko (born November 24, 1942 in Pyhäniemi , Karelia ) is a Finnish singer and actor .

Live and act

Born in the Soviet Union , his family relocated to Finland during World War II . His singing career began in 1963. He had his first small success in 1964 with a Finnish version of Dean Martin's Everybody Loves Somebody as a single . He was selected to represent Finland at the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest in Naples . His ballad Aurinko laskee länteen received no points and ended up in last place. He played the theater for a few years and began working as a television actor. In the 1970s he was known for his Russian-speaking singles and long-playing records and made appearances all over Europe. It was not until 1973 that he received Finnish citizenship. From the 1980s onwards, Christian themes increasingly found their way into his music. From then on he gave many concerts in churches.
