Mukayris (also: Mukayrās ; Arabic مكيراس, DMG Mukairās ) is a city in al-Baida Governorate , Yemen . It is located at an altitude of 2170 m, about 20 km southeast of al-Baida ' . Lawdar is about 30 km to the southeast . The city was under British protectorate from 1839 to 1967 .
