Research center for Islamic history, art and culture

The Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture ( Turkish İslâm Tarih, Sanat ve Kültür Araştırma Merkezi ; English Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture ) or IRCICA is an international research center founded on May 23, 1982 in the Turkish city ​​of Istanbul . It is located in the Yıldız Palace . It is a subsidiary of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

In 1980 it started its activities. Its long-time director was Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu (* 1943), who was General Secretary of the OIC until 2013 . Halit Eren has been director since 2005 .
