Continued Reformed Church in the Netherlands

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Continued Reformed Church in the Netherlands ( Dutch : Voortgezette Gereformeerde Kerken in Nederland ) is a Dutch federation of churches that was founded on May 8, 2004.

Reasons for starting a new company

When the Reformed Church in the Netherlands was absorbed into the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN) on May 1, 2004 , seven local congregations could not come to terms with the new church order . Their main concerns were based on the plurality (the juxtaposition of different interpretations of the Christian faith) and the fact that the local Reformed churches in the PKN will lose the right from May 1, 2014 (10 years after foundation), while maintaining their finances and To withdraw buildings from the confederation. These communities founded the Voortgezette Gereformeerde Kerken in Nederland on May 8, 2004 in Garderen . The vGKN consists of 7 municipalities and has 2922 members (as of the end of 2009). It started with initially 3400 and now (as of 2018) only a good 2000 members.
