Photo series

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a series of photos , image series , image path , or series of photos referred to (in the photograph ) a thematically related series of independently photographed frames . Typical contexts for a photo series would be, for example: aerial photographs of Berlin or self-portraits by well-known photographers . A photo series can, however, also be arranged like a story or a time course presented with larger intervals. For example, the first photo in the photo series on the subject of spring can show fresh spring blossoms, while the last photo in the series shows the transition to summer.

The photo tableau (also: photo tableau ) usually combines photos on one sheet in a graphical context as a photo collage , but is also used synonymously for image series.

In the Internet , so-called photo spreads in the form of a digital image gallery or as stories published. Photo series are used in journalism in both online journalism and print media. They are an important part of photojournalism and are used to explain an event in single images or to make comparisons.

Misinterpretations

Often so-called series shots of series photography (i.e. photos of the same subject taken very quickly one after the other with a shutter release and a high sequence of images on the photo camera) are also incorrectly referred to as photo or image series.
