Fouta

Tunisian fouta

Fouta is an originally Tunisian garment and towel that is common in the southern and eastern Mediterranean . It is used as a bath and sauna towel , sarong , shawl, table and beach cover, but also as a sofa cover.

The fouta is woven from cotton and has fringes. It is thin and both absorbent and quick drying.
