history
The artist foyer, equipped with ballet bars and mirrors, is located directly behind the opera stage. It was important in the 19th century as a meeting place for theater subscribers and the dancers of the Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris they sponsored . Several dance paintings by Edgar Degas are set in this room, and some ballets inspired by them were created.
Today the Foyer de la Danse is only a rehearsal stage. It will also be opened to the main stage during the parade .
