Oita Monastery

Oita Monastery (Latin: Monasterium Beatae Mariae de Annuntiatione ; Japanese 大分 ト ラ ピ ス ト 修道院 , Ōita Torapisuto [= Trappist] Shūdōin ) has been a Japanese monastery of the Trappists in Minamihata, Hiji , Ōita Prefecture since 1980 .

history

Phare Monastery founded the daughter monastery of Oita (from 1986 priory ) north of Beppu in 1980 under the name of " Our Lady of the Annunciation " ( Notre-Dame de l'Annonciation ).
